1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CocoCut (the "App"), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

CocoCut is a local-first short video diary application that helps you record short clips and stitch them into a life vlog. The App may provide the following features:

• Short clip capture: Record short videos with hold-to-record and fixed-duration modes
• Local library: Store clips on your device by capture time
• Studio & export: Preview, stitch, and export a real video file with optional burned-in timestamps
• Save & share: Save exports to your photo library or share via the system share sheet
• Optional subtitles: Add per-clip subtitles and optional cloud translation

Available features may change with App updates and may differ by platform.

3. Subscription Terms

CocoCut may offer auto-renewable subscription options and/or one-time purchases (including CocoCut VIP) to access premium features. By subscribing, you agree to the following terms:

3.1 Subscription Plans

• Monthly Subscription: Automatically renews every month
• Yearly Subscription: Automatically renews every year
• Lifetime / one-time purchase: One-time payment for permanent access where offered (non-subscription)

Note: Specific pricing is displayed in the App and may vary by region. Prices are shown in your local currency at the time of purchase.

3.2 Payment and Renewal

• Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
• The renewal cost will be the same as the original subscription price unless notified otherwise

3.3 Managing Subscriptions

You can manage your subscriptions and turn off auto-renewal by going to your Account Settings after purchase:

• iOS Users: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions
• Android Users: Google Play Store → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions

3.4 Cancellation Policy

• You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• No refunds will be provided for the unused portion of any subscription period, except as required by applicable law or platform policy
• Upon cancellation, you will retain access to premium features until the end of your current billing period

3.5 Free Trial

We may offer free trial periods for new subscribers. If a free trial is offered:

• You must cancel before the trial period ends to avoid being charged
• The subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period
• Free trials are limited to one per user and cannot be combined with other offers, unless stated otherwise

4. User Responsibilities

When using CocoCut, you agree to:

• Use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms
• Not use the App in any way that violates any applicable laws or regulations
• Not upload or share content that is offensive, illegal, or infringes on others' rights
• Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App, except where permitted by law
• Not use the App to transmit any viruses, malware, or harmful code
• Respect intellectual property rights of all content within the App

5. Intellectual Property Rights

All content, features, and functionality of CocoCut, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, and software, are the exclusive property of CocoCut or its licensors and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes only.

6. User-Generated Content

Videos, images, subtitles, and other content you create, import, edit, or export with CocoCut remain yours. We do not claim ownership of your content. Content is stored locally on your device by default.

When you share content from the App to social media or other platforms, you are responsible for ensuring you have the necessary rights to share such content.

7. Third-Party Services

CocoCut uses third-party services to enhance functionality:

• Apple / Google: Distribution and in-app purchases
• RevenueCat: Subscription status management (see our Privacy Policy)
• Mixpanel: Product analytics with anonymous install / app-user identifiers (see our Privacy Policy)
• Cloudflare: Website and API hosting
• AI Services: Optional real-time subtitle translation and related processing (no persistent cloud archive of your submitted subtitle text)

These third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of these third parties.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not guarantee that:

• The App will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
• The results obtained from using the App will be accurate or reliable
• Any errors in the App will be corrected
• AI-generated translations or other automated results will be 100% accurate

Local data may be lost due to uninstall, system cleanup, or device failure. Please export or back up important content promptly.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COCOCUT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM:

• Your use or inability to use the App
• Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers
• Any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from the App
• Any bugs, viruses, or other harmful code that may be transmitted through the App
• Any errors or omissions in any content or for any loss or damage incurred as a result of your use of any content

10. Refund Policy

All purchases are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Refund requests must be made directly through these platforms:

• iOS Users: Request refunds through Apple's support system at support.apple.com
• Android Users: Request refunds through Google Play support

Refund eligibility is determined by Apple or Google according to their respective policies. We do not have direct control over the refund process.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe:

• Violates these Terms or our Privacy Policy
• Is harmful to other users, us, or third parties
• Violates applicable laws or regulations

Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease. All provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by:

• Posting the new Terms in the App or on this website
• Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
• Sending you a notification where applicable

Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which CocoCut operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

15. Apple App Store Terms

If you download the App from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge and agree that:

• These Terms are between you and CocoCut, not Apple
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support services
• Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App
• Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them
